Head of EU delegation says SPAK must be created as soon as possible

EU ambassador to Albania, Luigi Soreca met today with the chairman of the High Prosecutorial Council Gent Brahimi. During the meeting, the European diplomat said that it’s very important that SPAK, which is the structure that will be in charge of the fight against organized crime and corruption, is created as soon as possible.

“High Prosecutorial Council chair, Gent Ibrahimi updated me today on final stages of Council’s work on selection of candidates for SPAK in the context of justice reform. It is crucial that SPAK is operational as soon as possible, to further enhance ability of Albania to fight corruption and organized crime”, wrote Soreca on social media. /E.I/
