Leader of PBDNJ comments political developments in Albania
“No party elections. Vote buying. A mono-party parliament. An opposition that is prosecuted. A president to be impeached. Wise men in ancient Athens and Rome used to say: “God makes him, who He wants to destroy insane!”

The leader of the Unity for Human Rights Party (PBDNJ), Vangjel Dule comments the latest political developments in Albania.

He points out a number of problems that that lead to what Mr. Dule considers a return to the monist system in the country.

Mr. Dule says that the majority leader has accumulated all powers, although he hasn’t held party elections. What’s more, according to Mr. Dule, Rama is in power through vote buying.

Considering this as a government of courtiers, Dule says that the country currently has a mono-party parliament.

Meanwhile, Mr. Dule is also worried about the fact that the country is heading towards a process of voting where the Socialist Party and its candidates are the only ones to participate.

On the other hand, the opposition is being prosecuted. Tirana District Attorney demanded on Monday the arrest of opposition leader, Lulzim Basha.

Something else that worries Mr. Dule is the fact that PM Rama is planning on impeaching the president. Earlier during the day, the Socialist Party submitted in parliament, which it controls entirely, a request for the impeachment of president Meta following the cancellation of the June 30 elections, a decision that the government has decided not to recognize.

For this, Mr. Dule says: Wise men in ancient Athens and Rome used to say: “God makes him, who He wants to destroy insane!”
