Former PM Gruevski arrested

Former Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Nikola Gruevski has been arrested this morning in Budapest based following an arrest warrant issued by a judge.

Meanwhile, former PM and leader of VMRO-DPMNE party is also expected to appear in court today where a judge will decide in relation to his extradition in North Macedonia.

Gruevski fled North Macedonia last year and sought asylum in Hungary, after a court in Skopje decided to sentence him to two years in prison for the purchase of an official luxury car for 600 thousand euros./E.I/
