Corruption: Albania on the black list of the Balkan Barometer
The latest report issued by Balkan Barometer shows that Albania is once again on the black list as far as the level of corruption in the country is concerned. What’s more, the report states that this phenomenon has deteriorated, despite the fact that fight against corruption is one of the key conditions set by the European Union.

“Perception of corruption remains high. Albanians are the ones to report the largest number of briberies compared to the region. Almost half of Albanian respondents claim that they’ve offered money in exchange of medical services. Things have worsened in Albania. Albanians say that they need to pay more in bribes and that corruption is higher than in 2017”, the report states.

Respondents from Albania also say that people from political parties, healthcare and judicial system are the most corrupted ones. Unemployment also remains a key concern in the country. /E.I/
