Yesterday, Tirana City Council has approved the decision for the city’s bus terminal. Meanwhile, right wing councilors decided to boycott the meeting. “Tirana is looking forward to the bus terminal. We can have the best of all times, a modern terminal in Tirana”, said Veliaj, adding that there will also be another terminal in the east of the city. Meanwhile, as far as tourism is concerned, the mayor of Tirana revealed Hilton and a number of other international brands will soon be present in the city.
“We have received several proposals for new hotels in Tirana. I believe that the arrival of tourists in the capital shows that the city is developing”, the mayor said. Meanwhile, the City Council also approved the opening of two social care centers which will assist homeless people. On the other hand, the mayor of Tirana has also commented the opposition’s boycott by mentioning the vetting process. Veliaj said that “in June, we will not only win the local elections, but we will also have an absolute majority in order to make the right decisions for the city of Tirana”, he said.
