Analogue TV signal, four members demand the removal of AMA’s director Sala

Four members of the Audio Visual Authority (AMA) have demanded the removal of the chairman of this authority, Gentian Sala. The proposal follows the decision to switch off analogue TV signal, which was deemed to be anti-constitutional by the members of this authority.

The members in question, Sami Neza, Suela Musta, Zylyftar Bregu and Agron Gjekmarkaj, claim that the chairman has not held consultations with the board before switching off the analogue TV signal three days ago in the district of Tirana and Durres. According to them, this decision is in violation of the constitutional right of information. They have proposed a number of measures in order for this not to be repeated in January 2019.
